Some years ago, when there were only 650 Gorillas left in the world, (350 in Uganda and 350 in Rwanda), Barbara and I did 4 treks to visit four different Gorilla families. We gave dozens of photographs to our friend Kennedy Zano, an excellent animal sculptor in Zimbabwe. Over the years, he has created numerous Gorilla families and silverbacks from our pictures, we're pleased to say that the numbers of Gorillas are now over 1,000 and growing.
