The giraffe has the same number of bones in its's neck as we humans do!! Unbelievable: but true. The big difference is the sizes of each bone.
We purchased this large work from Fannie, (nickname, real name, Fanwell) for two reasons: One . . . it works from every angle, Two . . . we could see it as a whimsical welcome in the entrance hall of an ancestorial home (echoes of the Rothschild giraffes poking their heads in the Giraffe Manor in Kenya).
