The Healer, known as a N'Anga in Shona society, wears an elaborate headdress makeup of a circle of Bateleur Eagle Feathers. The Eagle is God's messenger during the day, not at night, as the Owl is the messenger at night! The Bateleur Eagle feathers have been carved with incredible delicacy and this treatment has been echoed by the carving of the Wife's intricate hairstyle, just as the necklaces echo each other.
